How will the conference help us transcend?

Transcend maintaining our practice—strive for growth that overwhelms and makes us rely on God.
Transcend sustaining a sense of normalcy —expand our knowledge and proficiencies to create an environment that empowers others to thrive in new ways.
Transcend retaining our relationships—commit the time needed to add depth and renewed purpose in the relationship with each individual we serve.
Transcend seeking new clients—become comfortable with discomfort as we seek to spread the message of Christ’s love by serving those whom we have never tried to reach.
Transcend our role as financial advisors—exhibit biblical wisdom applicable to all areas of life.

Mick L.Owens began his career in the financial services profession in 1969 after graduating from Indiana State University with a BS in mathematics. He was heavily involved in risk management, estate planning, and cash flow planning for both individual and corporate clients. As his client base grew and their needs changed, Mick was continually challenged to find ways to provide them with additional financial services. As a result, he founded various companies that now can provide them with such services as tax planning, tax preparation, investment planning, and financial planning. Mick’s Mission has always been to help his clients make their hopes and dreams become living reality. To achieve that Mission, he utilizes a conceptual approach. You must figure out where you are — what you own and owe, what your income and expenses are, your tax situation along with current investment yields — and where you want to get to! His job is to figure out the most tax-wise, efficient manner to get you there. To accomplish that task, his firm belief is that “You Gotta Have a Plan”. Success comes to clients, as with any worthwhile endeavor — because it was planned for. Any venture requires a plan as the foundation.

Cutting-edge knowledge is necessary to maintain clients’ plans at the optimum efficiency.

Mick is a big believer in education. He has received the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College, as well as being a Certified Financial Planner™ practiioner of the CFP® Board of Standards. Special Music

Chris has been blessed to be able to lead thousands in Worship as he has traveled the United States and Nicaragua.  While Chris is a seasoned entertainer, God has been able to mold Chris into a humble worship servant, who’s ultimate goal is to usher people to the throne of God regardless of a churches size.  Chris has the ability to lead out in a multitude of musical styles that include Classic Hymns, Southern Gospel, Country Gospel, Blended Worship or today’s newest Contemporary music.  Chris has led Worship for Ronnie Hill Crusades and Big God Conferences featuring Ken Freeman.

Men’s Ministry:

Chris has actively served many churches and events with their Car Shows, Wild Game Dinners, Men’s Conferences and Fishing Tournaments.  Chris has the ability to connect with men in all walks of life because of his unique testimony of fame, fortune, the loss of a brother to drug overdose, his own drug addiction and the story of being adopted at the age of 2 by his father.

Prison Ministry:

Chris is actively involved in Prison Ministry in the state of Georgia, working with Heartbound Ministries and formerly United Prison Ministries.  Chris’ heartfelt testimony about the prison of his own making, his cocaine addiction, has encouraged many men in the prison system to step up and give their lives to Jesus Christ and live a life of freedom despite their incarceration.

Rehabilitation Ministry:

Chris has a heart to help others who have addictions find peace through Jesus Christ.  Chris is heavily involved with Celebrate Recovery  programs throughout the United States.  During Chris’ tenure with the country band Confederate Railroad, Chris struggled with his own substance addiction, climaxing with a $70,000 per year cocaine habit.  After his 3rd stint in a secular rehab, Chris ultimately found his true rehabilitation through the blood of Jesus Christ.  10 years later, Chris is a living testimony of God’s Grace, Power and Forgiveness in changing one’s life.  Chris would love the opportunity to talk and pray with you if you are struggling with any hurt, habit, or hangup.
