About Thomas Hlohinec
Thomas has a passion for helping others. Friends and family started coming to him as someone they trusted to help with their finances and investments. Seeing a void of trusted financial advice, Thomas founded Rise Financial Partners to help people rise wisely by aligning their investments and values. Previous to founding Rise Financial Partners, he spent seven years at a global investment firm where he educated financial advisors and institutional investors how to build better investment portfolios.
Thomas frequently provides insights to other financial advisors and has been quoted by industry publications such as Investment News, MarketWatch, and LendingTree. He remains active with his alma mater, University of Central Florida, as board member of the UCF Philadelphia Alumni Club and was invited to speak at University of Central Florida’s Business School. Thomas is a member of several financial professional networks dedicated to sharing best practices and providing the highest level of service to their clients, including: the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), Fee-Only Network, and XY Planning Network.
In his free time, Thomas enjoys eating pasta at his favorite “hidden gem” of Philly, traveling, and volunteering in his community. He is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to help a neighbor, friend, or a random person on the sidewalk.
Thomas is very active within his church community. He was responsible for the development and leadership of his church’s security team, and has been leading Bible studies since 2005. He served on four 10-day missions trips to the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Peru (2x) in order to help communities with education, health, and construction initiatives.
Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Central Florida. He has passed FINRA's Series 7, 63, and 66 exams and is a candidate for Level II of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
