ABOUT US | History
In a 1997 press release, Arthur Ally, President of the Timothy Plan, announced the formation of The National Association of Christian Financial Consultants, a group of investment professionals committed to investment and financial planning disciplines centered upon biblical principles. Ally was elected president of this nationwide organization, while Mark Minnella, Dudley Barnes, Dean Whitman, Tom Fyler and Ann Burbank were original trustees.

At the launching of the National Association of Christian Financial Consultants (NACFC), its mission was to provide educational resources, fellowship support and biblical standards for professional investment counselors seeking to integrate Bible-based principles within financial counseling practices.

The desire to associate more directly and personally led to the first annual conference held in 1999. This was a huge success and all left with the commitment to expand and continue this on an annual basis.

As a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization, the NACFC, in its desire to keep costs low for its members, is run by its members and an Executive Director.  The only paid positions within the NACFC are the Executive Director and his Administrative Assistant. Wes Pennington, Executive Director, works part-time to handle the administration duties of the NACFC. To maintain and protect its foundational principles, the Board of Directors are nominated and elected by its members.
